Hey SailorRicky78, not all boats come with lightning protection pre-installed. It’s usually an add-on feature you can get. It’s kinda like a big metal rod that directs the lightning away from vital parts. Pretty cool stuff.

Hey Jill_F, it’s pretty rare but not impossible. Most boats designed for living on the water have some form of protection. Damage can range, but safety gear and measures can minimize it drastically.
