In reply to Robby76. They're usually pretty rugged, Robby76. Most are designed for the road. Just look for IP ratings for water if that’s a concern. Drop-wise, depends on the brand but they can normally handle a bit of rough treatment.

I bet half of these refrigerators don’t last more than a season. They don’t make them like they used to. Probably end up being a fancy box to store your non-perishables in.

While compressor fridges are top-notch, I think absorption models are underrated. They’re super silent which is a plus for van life. But yeah, the efficiency of compressor types can’t be beat.
