Actually, regarding propane tank recertification, it’s pretty important for safety reasons. Not doing it could lead to serious hazards, especially with older tanks that might no longer meet current safety standards. Always better to be safe than sorry!

In reply to MikeyT. Propane itself doesn't expire, but the tanks do have an expiration date for safety reasons. You should check the date on your tank or have it inspected.
