It’s imperative to note, the success of Keelshield and Keelguard largely depends on proper installation. In my experience, both have demonstrated resilience in saltwater but less so in abrasive environments.

Not sure I agree with the cons listed for Keelguard. Used it for years, and I’ve never had issues with adhesive or it ripping. Maybe it’s all about the application?

i used keelshield on my old sailboat, and it’s pretty solid. lots of rocks where i sail, no damage tho, pretty surprised.

good stuff here. always thought keelguard was the go-to but keelshield sounds legit. nice to see them side by side.
